After Windows 8 Developer's preview most of the computer manufacturing companies like Acer, Dell, HP, Sony and Lenovo have diverted their minds towards Windows 8 based operating systems. They have decided to manufacture Windows 8 OS based tablets rather than traditional desktops for year 2012. Here we shall define advantage and disadvantage of Windows 8 OS based tablets.

Lenovo Windows 8 tablets lineup


With the help of modern technology and support of Microsoft's Windows 8 operating system, Lenovo is about to launch Windows 8 tablets in the coming year 2012. Though company has not announced this launch officially yet experts say that Lenovo's Thinkpad X220 tablet is compatible to Windows 8 Developer's preview, except for few driver functions. A fresh and updated Windows 8 OS can be used for Lenovo’s Thinkpad X220 tablet. End users will be happy with installing and running well, a fresh copy of Windows 8 OS once it will be released.

Windows 8 OS for all the tablets systems


Upcoming Windows 8 operating system from Microsoft will mainly be useful for the tablets which support touch screen without keypad features. Though Windows 8 operating system is compatible to all contemporary systems like PC, Desktop and Laptops too, but it is more suitable for tablets. The most important feature of Windows 8 OS is its touch screen interface.

Windows 8 OS compatible for Lenovo's Thinkpad X220 tablets


At present Windows 8 Developer's Preview tools can be helpful for experiment with Lenovo ThinkPad X220 Tablet. This is because Lenovo Thinkpad X220 tablets have rotating touch screen, which exposes a full size keyboard. Thus, Lenovo has their first Windows 8 adaptable tablet hands-on. Some of the drivers for X220 tablet have to be compatible with Windows 8 OS and rest has no issue so far. However, Lenovo will launch its tablets compatible to Windows 8 OS in the year 2012.

Windows 8 OS Installation for tablets


Installing Windows 8 on any desktop or laptop is far convenient and faster than any other Windows OS ever made. For installation, an ISO image from Microsoft's website can be downloaded and burnt on a blank DVD. Tablets must have internal optical drive in order to install Windows 8 OS, otherwise one has to use external optical drive to install it via BIOS for booting. IT takes around 25 minutes for installation of Windows 8 OS for higher configuration tablet. Later Windows 8 OS requires some authentications such as Username, Passwords, and a Wi-Fi security key etc.
