Every one is now discussing about Windows 8 OS. After release of Windows 8 Developer Preview, most of the companies are thinking over Windows 8 based tablets. Asus technology also is planning for Windows 8 tablets for the year 2012. This article discusses about upcoming Windows 8 tablets from Asus.

Asus technology is one of the leading international brands in the manufacturing of PCs. Asus has remained in the tablet market since long time. Asus entered the TouchScreen market a few years ago. Till now they were using Android OS for their tablets. But after the release of Windows 8 Developer Preview, Asus also started thinking about using Windows 8 for their tablets. Asus seems to be planning its own Windows 8 based tablets by the third quarter of 2012.

Microsoft Windows 8 OS may arrive between July and September 2012. In a power point slide meant for investors, Asus has indicated its tablet plans for 2012 promising Windows 8 tablets before end of next year. The Windows 8 tablet from Asus may run on ARM processors, although it is not confirmed about it. Asus releasing its Android tablet Eee Pad Transformer during the month of December, 2011.

Asus also introduced Windows powered ulrabooks recently. These laptops would provide slim line computing until Windows 8 tablets would be available. Asus also has Windows 7 powered slate in the market. Microsoft also used the Asus Eee Slate in its promotional material. Microsoft also created several commercials for this Asus Slate device. This is a part of the efforts of Asus to move to Windows platform. So let us hope that Asus would be moving to Windows 8 for their new tablets which would be released next year. So if you are planning to buy a Windows 8 tablet, and if not in a hurry, it is better to wait Asus Windows 8 tablets which shall be released by the end of the next year.
