So far Acer has tested their tablets through Windows 8 Developer’s Preview. Acer got some good tablets with ICONIA TAB A Series and ICONIA TAB W Series. Acer's ICONIA TAB A Series powered by Android operating system whereas ICONIA TAB W Series powered by Windows 7 operating system. Acer got both operating system for their tablets PCs.

Acer is closely working with Microsoft in order to test and launch their tablets with Windows 8 operating system without any issue in future.

At the moment, Acer runs successfully with its W series tablets with Windows 7 operating system. Acer has already tested Windows 8 Developer Preview successfully. Once Microsoft confirms their official launch on Windows 8 OS, Acer will launch their tablet with Windows 8 OS too.

Acer tablet with W series may come with Windows 8 OS, this tablet will have advanced feature than current one, it will have extra memory, touch screen advancement, more features, integrated keyboard, 3G option and video calling facilities etc.

It has been hearing from media news that there are many computer manufacturers across globe, working seriously on their part to update themselves on Windows 8 OS. So far, Microsoft released Windows 8 Developer Preview. Microsoft have not revealed any news about the time when they are officially releasing Windows 8 OS.
