As of today, there is no update about Windows 8 OS release from Microsoft. The last update we got from Microsoft is all about Windows 8 OS Developer Preview. After that so many information leaked and few of them was rumored. Once, Nokia itself was under rumor for release of Windows 8 based slate as early as possible. Microsoft just hints its own branded changes and updates on its OS in Q3 or Q4. Apart from Asus and Samsung, there are other well known computer manufacturers kept secret on their project, and release date on Windows 8 OS and their device models.

What is Intel's Clover Trail?


As per online report, like Acer and Lenovo computer manufacturer is under progress on Intel's Clover Trail platform with Windows 8 based project. There are other computer manufacturers like Dell, Gateway, Hitachi, Lenovo, MSI, Sony, Samsung and Toshiba etc. too under progress on Windows 8 OS projects. All of them are with Microsoft and its Windows 8 OS projects for ensuring compatibility of their products with it without any issue.

A glance on tablets and slates


There are no much differences between tablets and slates. Slates however may be primarily little lower configuration and fame than tablets. Tablets makers allowed the markets to enrich Google's Android based Operating System device. Right now, Tablets are dominating to Slates. Tablets are however going very successful.
