Archos 101 XS Android Tablet

Archos, the French company going to launch its new line of Gen 10 XS series with debut named - 101 Transformer tablet Android tablet. The machine features latest Android 4.0 operating system said to be upgraded to jelly Bean, 10.1-inch display screen, dual-core processor overall a keyboard dock for transforming the Archos tablet in to the laptop.

Archos 101 XS Android Tablet features 10.1-inch display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution screen and another two more 8 and 9.7-inches tablets of this series also expected to arrive in market before end of 2012.

A free Android app that lets user phone to convert into a remote control for his Archos tablet, on hooking up the TV, it lets the user able to control the tablet. The device includes a specially designed Magnetic Cover board with a full keyboard for Android for doubling the screen cover and keyboard dock. The magnet helps 5mm thick Coverboard stick to the screen with strongly. This cover board with magnet has to be attached to tablet for protecting screen when not in use. The cover board connects to tablet with magnet for convert into a single unit for travelling. Cover board also has power adapter connectivity to charge the tablet when docked.

Archos 101 XS Android Transforming tablet comes up with a full QWERT dockable which on adding to tablet converting and provide user a full laptops-experience. Not only this, the QWERT charges the tablet while plugged into the power outlet. The device embeds X-Pin connector on base of the tablet to let user dock with optional Boombox (a 32 Watt speaker dock or the Cradle) to hook up the tablet to audio set-up, using the RCA connections.

The Transforming tablet comes preloaded with many top grade games and software like Spiderman, Fruits Ninja and standout pieces is Office Suite Pro 6.

101 XS Price and availability

Archos set the price of its 101 XS convertible tablet at £299 in UK and $399 in US and expected to arrive to stores very shortly.
Optional Cradle and Boombox are to be purchased separately and expected to be priced around £30 for the Cradle where the Boombox with be priced around £100 for the customers.

Pros:

The Archos machine offers Competitive graphic crunching prowess, latest Android 4.0 operating system, Office Suite Pro 6, QWERTY keyboard dock and lightening fast web browser.

Cons:

Some design flaws, no video chat option and price can be considerable.
