The Windows 8 tablet runs 3rd-gen Intel's clover Trail Atom Processors coupled to 64GB of internal memory. The HP machine is 1.45 kg in weight when dockable keyboard added to tablet for transforming it to laptop.

The Envy X2 machine features 11.6-inch touch screen IPS Display and HD resolution of 1366 x 786 pixels (135ppi) with 400 nit IPS panel. The tablet boasts of 8 Megapixel rear-face camera for recording high definition video and another 720P front-face camera for records in HD and with NFC, beat audio integration, and optional stylus support.

The transforming tablet owns a sliding keyboard with magnetic hinge for giving premium look to HP Envy X2 tablet with converting it to a full-fledged ultrabook. The HP Envy X2 supports Wi-Fi internet connectivity with many Wi-Fi encryption features like wpa2, wep, two USB 2.0 ports and a nice Track Pad too along with support to 3G and 4G connectivity. The keyboard dock comes embedded with an HDMI port, microSD card slot, and a pair of USB ports.
