The Getac tablet has 7-inches screen protected with a covered Gorilla Glass and the tablet is covered with a rubberized shell casing for protection. The device is said to be specially engineered so suitable for working even under harsh environmental conditions.

The Getac designed its rough Z710 machine with 2 pounds weight with 8.5 x 5.3 x 1.0 in measurement. Though this makes the devices less portable but in terms of roughness - has ability to survive from droppings of up to 6 feets as well as has certified protection against dust and liquids. The device is also able to operate in extreme temperatures such that its can work in low -4°F to 122°F temperature also.
