Sony Xperia Tablet S: Specs and features
The Sony tablet S features 9.4-inches LED backlit TFT LCD screen with IPS panel giving users amazing visual experience from different viewing angles and WXGA 1280 x 800 screen resolution as well as anti-finger print surface treatment.
The device runs on Android 4.0.3 Ice-cream Sandwitch operating system from Google and NVIDIA Tegra mobile processor running at 1.3 GHz and coupled to 1GB of RAM with 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants and an SD Card slot also for external storage.
The Sony XPeria tablet S sports dual camera – first 8mp HD rear camera while other 1mp of front facing camera and a Tweaked Universal Remote Control app with learning fruntion, User profiles for personalized settings, Clear Phase and xLoud technology.
For connectivity, the Android tablet supports 3G connectivity only for SGPT131GB (16GB), DLNA Wi-Fi support.
The device also shows support for many types of image formats such as JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP and WBMP and audio support for AAC, WAV, WMA, mp3, Pro, ogg Vorbis, LPCM, MIDI and FLAC as well as video support like H263, H264/AVC, MPEG-4, WMV, many Small apps support such as Web Browser, Calculator, Voice Recorder, IR Remote and Timer also runs in a small screen onver the main app.
The device comes loaded with a Li-ion battery that provides up to 12 hours of backup on normal usage and takes 5.5 hours of charging time.
In addition, the device also comes packed with many accessories like Compact tablet stand, cradle and docking stand.

The Sony Xperia android tablet comes in different variants for Wi-fi and 3G under different prices:
- 16GB Wi-Fi SGPT 121GB model will be priced at £329 (Rs 29,000/-)
- 32GB Wi-Fi SGPT 122GB model will be priced at £379 (Rs 34,000/-)
- 16GB 3G SGPT131GB model will be priced at £429 (Rs 38,000/-)
